This is charcoal on newsprint. I tend not to do charcoal in the colder months since it needs to be fixed and I don't particularly like going outside (because of the fumes and all) when it's freezing. The red accent for the lips was done in pastel, a medium I really like but which I am afraid of because of the dust.
